• THE BEGINNING

    The establishment of 'Triratna Prerana Mandal' was never a planned move, it just happened during the course of involvement with Silver Star Cricket Club in 1985.

  • ENVIRONMENT

    Under the garbage bin allotment scheme, Triratna Prerana Mandal also made jobs available to the people, which led to employment of many garbage pickers to clean garbage and take care of the waste management.

  • EDUCATION

    The main objective of Triratna Prerana Mandal focuses on three keywords, 'value, skill and talent' development. Triratna Prerana Mandal makes a conscious and sincere effort to develop, initiate and implement human development programs to safeguard its social repute.

  • ENTERPRISE

    Women from Maharashtra joined hands with the Child Rehabilitation and Development Centre to introduce "Women's Saving Scheme".

  • SPORTS

    Every year during the month of August, the Mandal conducts Regional Cricket Tournament, comprising team from Khar, Khar Danda, Santacruz. The winning & runner-up team gets the Rotational Trophies.

  • WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT

    The child development scheme that involved supply of nutritional supplements to the deprived and homeless kids, gave women employment opportunities to explore and nearly 40 home workers were hired for services.

  • SURVEYS

    Triratna Prerna Mandal has conducted many surveys from time to time. The latest survey was done under the banner of Observer Research Foundation(ORF), related to Sanitation issue at Railway Station.

TRIRATNA PRERANA MANDAL
Triratna Prerana Mandal is a socio-humanitarian, service oriented, non-profit organization based in Santacruz (West). It has been working for the sustainable development of under-privileged sections of the society.

Its activities cover: Education; Environment; Enterprise; Solid Waste Management, Sports, Women and Child Development. Its work in the area of sanitation has won national and international acclaim.

Deutsche Bank Urban Age Award Mumbai

On 1 November, 2007, Dr. Josef Ackermann presented the first Deutsche Bank Urban Age Award. The $100,000 award was split between two projects that transform the lives of Mumbai's citizens, the Triratna Prerana Mandal and the Mumbai Waterfronts Centre.
